Hiatus #33124890257

This was quite an eventful summer with absoultely amazing photo opportunities. I'm quite sad to see it end (because I have to get back to the books). Nevertheless, I got to attend a wedding in Seattle and San Diego. Both were intimate and wonderfully-executed - I LOVE seeing weddings like this. And being a guest means I can actually have a good time and not worry about missing shots! Here are some shots of these two new lucky couples.

Seattle - Amy and John

San Diego - Tracy and Leo

Saks and the City

Everyone, meet Maria, the University of San Francisco's latest soon-to-be alumni.  To commemorate the significance of graduation, Maria wanted to capture her life in San Francisco to give her family in Seattle a taste of the Bay Area.  On this frigid evening, we started at the USF campus and Saint Ignacious Cathedral, touring the USF campus.  Next, this self-proclaimed president of the SF chapter of Shopaholics Anonymous truly lit up in front of the camera once we hit the shopping district!  And finally, after a long evening in the cold, we all made it out to the foot pier off Embarcadero, looking back onto downtown SF.  The shoot took a little bit longer than I would have expected due to some equipment mishaps, but Maria's patience allowed her to keep chugging along with a bright smile.  Thanks!

Hiatus #2

Sorry guys, I know it's been a long time. Things have been a little crazy and I haven't had a chance to update the blog since I got back to California. This summer has been GREAT. Why you ask? Well...I did pretty well last semester, so that's always a good start to the summer.

Also...Clara and I got a new addition to the family! Everyone, meet Tanqueray (Tanq for short). He's a two-year old mutt from the pound. We think he might be a shiba/corgi/dachsund mix, possibly? Who knows. All we know is that he's been a great little dog. :)

I also was fortunate to have a DREAM vacation to Maui earlier in June. Thanks to Clara's generous friend's, we got to stay at the Westin Ka'anapali Villas - hands down, the most beautiful resort I've ever been to. The resort sits directly on a west-facing beach, so we literally bbq'd at the pool, took 20 steps, and laid out on the sand. Sigh...best vacation ever.

Before I left for Hawaii, I also got the opportunity to shoot some pics of our friends' kiddies. Everyone, meet Brooke and Alex. I love window light.
